The Niger State Government has taken a significant step towards the realization of the proposed Mokwa Trailer Park with the inspection of identified project sites by the Director General of the Niger State Industrial Park Development Agency (NSIPDA), Alhaji Baba Kudu Mohammed.
The inspection tour was carried out under the directive of the Commissioner for Investment and Private Sector Development, Alhaji Aminu Suleman Takuma, as part of deliberate efforts by the Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago – led administration to boost investment, strengthen logistics infrastructure, and enhance economic activities across the state.
According to a Press statement issued by the Chief Information Officer of the Ministry, Malam Ismaila Musa, and made available to Journalists on Wednesday in Minna, the visit, which took place on Wednesday, 14th January 2026, featured top management staff of the agency, including the Head of Operations, Mallam Nasiru Suleiman, the Agency Secretary, Mallam Suleiman Idris; and a consultant from Achineering Nigeria Limited, Mr. Dan Musa.
The statement further contained that, “As part of the engagement, the delegation paid courtesy visits to the Mokwa Local Government Council Secretariat and the Ndalile of Mokwa,( Village Head of Mokwa,) Alhaji Mohamed Shaba Aliyu, to formally brief them on the proposed project.
The traditional ruler, who warmly received the delegation, commended the developmental vision of the State Governor, Dr. Mohamed Umaru Bago, and assured the team of the full support and cooperation of the Mokwa community toward the successful execution of the project.
Ismaila Musa further explained that at the proposed project site, a total of 60 hectares of land was identified and mapped out for the development of the trailer park.
Speaking during the inspection, the NSIPDA Director General disclosed that the project, to be developed by Truck Transit Park Limited, is scheduled for presentation before the Niger State Executive Council on the 27th of January, 2026.
He added that upon approval, the developer is expected to immediately mobilize to site for the commencement of construction.
Meanwhile, the Mokwa Trailer Park, when completed, is expected to enhance road safety, reduce traffic congestion, create employment opportunities, and stimulate economic growth in Mokwa and neighboring communities.
