A political movement under the auspices of Niger Rescue Movement,NRM,has resolved to quit the rulling party and align with the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to ensure the election of Dr Mohammed Kpautagi in 2027 general elections.
Addressing Journalists at the IBB pen house in Minna, the State Capital on Thursday,the leader of the movement, Hon.Mikail Bmitosahi, former Chief of staff to the immediate past governor of the state, Abubakar Sani Bello, said the decision was made after due consultations with the stakeholders in the state.
” It has become necessary to form this movement because 2027 is the future of our Children, people of Niger State and Nigeria at large to be free from the present economic mischief by the rulling party APC.”
Mikail further explained that “2027 is about the future of our children. we should be united as one farmily under ADC,”,this is a Clarion call to all Nigerlites and Nigerians to be members of NRM,supporters, of ADC to elect a matured,respected and descipline governor with listening ears come 2027″
“I urged all well-meaning citizens of Niger State to join us in this movement to salvage our state from the rulling party APC”.
Mikail who was also former member house of representatives noted that the people of the State deserves security, jobs, quality education, healthcare delivery, portable water, and good roads. stated that ADC is the credible platform and this is the the best opportunity to drive that agenda.
According to the them ,NRM.has set up machineries to mobilise all structures of NRM across the 25 LGAs to work for ADC victory, without engaging in politics of bitterness, our campaign will be based on solution driven for Niger State. While urging members to take the message to every ward, villages,polling units in local government areas of the state.
NRM was of the opinion that before now they have been monitoring ADC and realised that is a credible platform for new thinking, that boost internal democracy, and will give Nigerians especially the youth a real voice in 2027, with members drawn across all the political parties in the state
Also speaking, former commissioner of works Alhaji Mamman Musa Bosso, accused governor Mohammed Umar Bago’s administration of not making public the awards of contracts by his government as approved by the executive council and also lacked public bidding..
Also in his opinion ,a former commissioner for Water Resources, Alhaji Yusuf Suleiman maintained that Governor Mohammed Umar Bago is not a listening leader, does things without consultations, the reason they decided to pitch their net under the ADC as a viable option.
