Niger CP Presents  N56m Cheques To Families/NOKs Of Deceased Personnel Under IGP’s Group  Life Assurance Scheme

The Commissioner of Police, Niger State Command, CP Adamu Abdullahi Elleman mnips on behalf of the Inspector General of Police received the families and next-of-kins (NOKs) of Police personnel who lost their lives in the line of duty in the Command within 2023/2024.
He  presented cheques totalling ₦56,942,985 to Twenty families/NOKs who are beneficiaries under the Group Life Assurance Scheme today 9th January, 2026 at the State Police Command Headquarters Dutsen-Kura, Minna.
The Commissioner of Police in his address, welcomed the families/Next-of-kins to the Police Command and stated that the gesture was in continuation of the Inspector General of Police’s welfare initiatives for families of Police personnel under Group Life Assurance (GLA) Scheme, reaffirming the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force in ensuring that a robust welfare scheme for Police personnel and their families is prioritised.
He condoled with the families for the loss, adding that the deceased personnel are not forgotten and their memory will always be fresh in our minds, as they remain in the thoughts and prayers of the Command.
He prayed for God blessings in all they do with the token they received and stated that no amount of money can be equated to the lives of the personnel, but the token is just a gesture to ameliorate and assist the families.
He further advised the beneficiaries to put the cheques to judicious use so as to honour the wishes and memory of the fallen officers.
He concluded by urging them to see the Command as their home, and always visit whenever they are in need of assistance. He welcomed them once more and wished them a safe journey back to their various destinations.
