Police arrest Three Suspects  For Theft  In  Minna, Stolen  Items  Recovered

In a renewed commitment of the Niger State Police Command in the fight against crime and other vices in the State, on 5th January, 2026 at about 12.50pm, based on information received within Chanchaga Area of Minna that one Aliyu Mohammed of Chanchaga, who was entrusted with a shop around a mosque in the area intentionally stole a lister engine, a drum and other items valued over one million naira.
The Police operatives attached to Chanchaga Div swung into action,  arrested the suspect and during interrogation, he allegedly confessed to the crime and was sad to have been quoted, saying  that he sold the items to one Ibrahim Mua’zu of Sabon-Titi. .
 This was contained in a Crime Bulletin issued by the Spokesperson of the State’s Police Command, SP Wasiu Abiodun and made available to Journalists in Minna on Tuesday,20th January 2026.
It added that  the lister engine was later recovered, while the suspect and the receiver were charged to court for prosecution.
In a related development , on 12th January 2026 at about 5.30pm, a report was received that on same date at about 4pm, one Idris Yayaha 36yrs of Darulsalam area of Bosso, who was a motorcycle rider accosted a student passenger at Bosso Estate junction, and allegedly  intimidated the student claiming to be a soldier, forcefully conveyed the student to an isolated area within Bosso Estate where he robbed him of his infinix phone valued over one hundred and seventy thousand naira.( N170,000.00)
The victim immediately raised alarm, and the suspect was arrested with the help of the community members.
Meanwhile the  suspect allegedly confessed to the crime and he was also charged to court for prosecution.
