Private Security Guard Kidnaps Employer’s twin Children in Minna

A private security guard of a Minna resident simply identified as Alhaji Danjuma( other names withheld) has disappeared with his employer’s two male children Umar and Anas both aged six years old to unknown destination.
The incident occurred around Brighter School area of Minna last Sunday afternoon  after the father who is a businessman could not find his children further discovered that the security man had also  disappeared too.
Reports revealed that the Business man was away from home on Sunday afternoon, his security guard Sani Abdulrahman who is a fulani man allegedly took the children out for Eid -El-; Kabir celebration on a motorcycle that the employer bought for him.
Following the uncertainty about their return,  the family started searching for them and had visited all the hospitals in Minna metropolis suspecting that they might have be involved in a a road traffic crash.
But it turned out the two little kids were in the hands of suspected kidnappers.
Revealing the incident, Alhaji Danjuma stated that later that evening, some people called him and said they were in Erena forest in Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State, saying he should bring money (ransom) for his children who are in their custody to be released.

The Businessman has called on the state government and the security agencies to assist in ensuring the safe release of his two children. While he further appealed to the general public to join him in prayers for ensuring safe return of his children.

When contacted, the Spokesman of the State Police Command, SP Wasiu Abiodun confirmed the incident, adding  it occurred about one o’clock on Sunday 31st May 2026.
Abiodun stated further that the private Security Guard, Sani was said to have pretended that he was taking the children for Salah celebration in the town, but since then, they are yet to return.
He However, assured that investigation has commenced and effort to locate the children is ongoing”.
