RECAP Congratulates Adeleke On Re-election As Osun Governor, Urges More Dev’tal Projects, Greater Progress In The State

The Renewal Congress of Aladura & Celestial Churches in Politics (RECAP), a faith-based civic and political advocacy movement has
congratulated Governor Ademola Adeleke, on his re-election as Osun State Governor in the August 15 governorship election, urging him to deepen more developmental projects while pursuing greater progress in the state.

Governor Ademola Adeleke, the candidate of the Accord Party(AP), was declared the winner of the election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) after defeating his closest challenger, Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

RECAP National Coordinator, Professor Adebayo Adeniji,in a Press release issued on Tuesday and made available to Journalists,
said the outcome of the election reflected the will of the people of Osun state.

While describing the result as a reflection of the preference of the majority of Osun voters, he emphasised that “This is democracy and majority of Osun voters have expressed their preference for the re-election of Governor Ademola Adeleke.

According to him, ” What happened at the polls on August 15, 2026, is a clear testimony of the confidence the people of Osun State have in your leadership, capacity and commitment to service and vision for the development of the state.”

He urged the Governor to be magnanimous in victory and carry other contestants along in the task of building a more prosperous Osun state.

“Congratulations, Your Excellency, and best wishes for a successful second term. As you begin another term in office, I pray for God to grant you the prerequisite wisdom, strength and guidance as you continue to serve the good people of Osun State”, the release added.

Professor Adebayo Adeniji also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what he described as providing a level playing field for all the contestants in the election.
