A joint rescue operation involving Police, Army, and local vigilante groups has successfully rescued two kidnapped individuals in Bauchi, unhurt, they are Lawiza Abubakar 35 years old and Musa Abdullahi 10 years old.
The disclosure was contained in a statement signed and issued by the PPRO of Bauchi State Police Command, SP Nafiu Habib.
According to him, the Police Command had received a report on 15th February, 2026, at about 0941hrs, regarding a kidnapping incident that occurred on 14th February, 2026, at 2230hrs in Anguwan Madaki, Degare village of Alkaleri LGA.
The PPRO stated that the complainant, Alh Jinaidu Muhammad. reported that unknown gunmen broke into his residence and abducted four female family members.
They are Rukayya Junaidu 19 years old, Nafisa Zubairu, 19 years old, Safiya Imam Lata 18 years old , and Maryam Dadalliya (30).
He added that the kidnappers also stole two black Tecno phones, according to the complainant, Alh. Jinaidu Muhammad.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu, assured the public that Police and the operatives of other sister agencies are working diligently to locate and rescue the remaining abducted individuals and apprehend the perpetrators.
