Takuma Hosts FUTMinna  Delegation, Seeks  Strategic Investment  Partnership.

Hon. Alhaji Aminu Suleman Takuma, the Niger State Commissioner for Investment and Private Sector Development, has hosted a high-powered delegation from the Federal University of Technology (FUT), Minna, at his office on Thursday, 8th January, 2026.

The visit, which took place at the Conference Hall of the NSDC Complex, Minna, was aimed at strengthening institutional collaboration between the University and the Niger State Government, as well as exploring viable investment partnerships across key sectors of the state economy.

Speaking during the meeting, the leader of the delegation and President of the FUT Alumni Association, Prof. Shola Gabriel Solomon, expressed delight over the significant representation of FUT alumni in the current Niger State Executive Council.

 He described the development as a testament to the quality leadership produced by the University.

Prof. Solomon noted that three alumni of FUT Minna are currently serving as Commissioners in strategic ministries.

 They include Hon. Alhaji Aminu Suleman Takuma, Commissioner for Investment and Private Sector Development; Hon. Alhaji Isah Sidi Rijau, Commissioner for Agriculture; and Hon. Abdullahi Adamu Mammagi, Commissioner for Livestock and Aquaculture.

He further disclosed the University’s readiness to allocate not less than two thousand (2000) hectares of land to the Niger State Government as part of a proposed investment partnership involving the three ministries, with the aim of attracting impactful development projects to the state.

In his response, Hon. Takuma welcomed the delegation and reaffirmed the commitment of the Bago-led administration to fostering strategic partnerships that will drive sustainable investment and economic growth.

Alhaji Aminu revealed plans to introduce FUT Minna to an international foundation interested in investing in Niger State, adding that ten percent of profits from such investments would be donated to the University to support its academic and institutional development.

The Commissioner emphasized that the partnership aligns with Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago’s New Niger Agenda, which prioritizes innovation, private sector collaboration, and human capital development.
