Former Chairman of the main opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Bauchi LGA of the State, Abdulkadir Alin Bababa, has been unveiled as the running mate of Gubernatorial candidate, Usman Adamu Suphi for the 2027 general elections.
The unveiling of the running mate was done on Sunday by the candidate who also, officially commissioned the State Secretariat of the party along Kobi Street within Bauchi metropolis, a development that announced the formal inauguration of the PDP faction in Bauchi State.
Speaking at the occasion, State Chairman of the PDP faction, Ibrahim Kashim Toro, said that with the unveiling of the gubernatorial running mate and official commissioning of the Secretariat, the PDP is ready to hit the ground running.
He described the candidate, Usman Adamu Suphi as the best among all the candidates of the other political parties in the State in the 2027 general elections.
He added that the candidate is a generous person who used his in influence to empower youths across the State without any differences.
Ibrahim Kashim Toro used the occasion to restate that there is no faction in the PDP stressing that such exists in the figment of the imagination of the pedlllers.
He expressed optimism that the PDP will definitely emerge victorious in the 2027 governorship election and will produce the next Governor of the State.
While unveiling the gubernatorial running mate, the gubernatorial candidate, Usman Adamu Suphi, said that the choice of Abdulkadir Alin Bababa was informed by the need to ensure a formidable team at the Government House come May 29th 2027.
He added that, Abdulqadir Alin Bababa is a tested politician who knows how to win elections having led the PDP to victory in previous elections in the State.
According to him, “We went through a rigorous selection processes before the lot fell on him, and he is widely accepted by the segments of the party and its stakeholders.
In his acceptance speech, the gubernatorial running mate assured that he will be a team player in the race expressing confidence that the PDP will reclaim the Government House in 2027.
He commended the gubernatorial candidate for accepting him as a running mate assuring him that he will not betray the trust bestowed on him just as he commended the stakeholders for nominating him as running mate.
The Secretariat was officially commissioned by the Secretary of the BoT, Hon Isa Dansidi who represented the National Chairman, Hon Abdulrahman Mohammed.
He expressed confidence that the PDP will win the 2027 general elections in Bauchi State with the opening of the Secretariat for the day to day running of the activities of the party in the State.
