According to him, “So we decided to bring them, to this venue and, we had a little presentation where we also tried to motivate them about mindset because we believe that everything is about mindset. The fact that they are disabled does not mean that they cannot achieve whatever they want to achieve in life.”

He added that,”And so, we decided to tell them that, look, you can achieve anything. All you need is to make sure that you have that in your mind. You go to school, you try to get a job, and by the grace of God, you’ll be able to achieve what you want to achieve.”

Mukhtar Jarmajo added that, “Further to that, we actually employed a physically chalended woman, we promised them that we have given them a slot at the Bala Wunti Support Organization, an employment slot. And by Monday, we are going to issue the appointment letter for a female disabled to come and work with us.”

He stressed that,”That is a way of demonstrating to them that they can actually achieve whatever they want to achieve in life. Yes, we have also given them a token, just, a transport fare so that they can go back home. We’ve given them N500,000 to just use it for transportation back home.”

The CEO assured that others segment of the PWDs will be taken care off saying, “Of course, we have many of them. Tomorrow is another day, it is easy to segment because we’ve just started. It’s a continuous, thing. Tomorrow we’ll go with the blind people and on and on and on until the end of the month of Ramadan. So it’s something that is continuous. It is just starting. It will end by the end of the month. That is as far as the Ramadan distribution is concerned.”

“But whatever we are doing is something that we will do forever, by the grace of God. BWSO is not, a temporary organization. We want it to be there even long after we are gone,” he added.

He however stressed that, “Of course, we have political motive, but even at that, it is very important that we help people. It is very important. Power is something that God gives. But, you know, showing love is something that we have the power to also do. And because God has given us the opportunity, we see it is very important to use that opportunity to lend our helping hand to our people.”

He added that, “So, the BWSO is a youth-driven civic organization here in Bauchi state. What we want is to give the youths, a platform where they can improve in the areas of leadership development, in the areas of mentorship as well as succession planning. So these are the areas that we intend to give youths the opportunity to participate in the democratic process.”

According to him,”We believe that democracy is all about participation and everybody must come out and participate in terms of leadership and in terms of taking responsibility. It is not enough for you to continue to be asking about what has not been done to you. It is also important for you to ask what is that responsibility that I have not been able to discharge. So that is what we are trying to do.”

He added that,”So, we have a whole lot of package in the areas of health, in the areas of economic development, in entrepreneurship, in education. These are areas we will make sure that we do our best in helping the society.”

He then disclosed that the Organisation has presence across the state, saying,”We have 20 offices in the 20 local governments, and by the grace of God, we have just begun employing, our staff, so we will make sure that the offices are activated and immediately work will begin.”

He concluded that, “So this is a serious business. We are not here to play. We are very serious about what we are doing. And it’s beyond mere rhetoric. We will see action by the grace of God.”
