Bauchi Speaker’s Wife donates cash to 300 women in Ningi, Warji Communities

Hajiya Hafsat Suleiman Abubakar, wife of the Speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, has donated cash and textile materials to about 300 women in Ningi and Warji Local Government Areas of Bauchi State.

The beneficiaries received cash support ranging from ₦5,000 to ₦20,000 each, alongside textile materials.

The community outreach programme was organiszed by the Coalition of Women Groups under the aegies of ” Ɗangaladima Na Mata”.

 

She said women remained a priority in efforts to promote human capital development and improve community welfare.

She explained that the intervention was aimed at supporting vulnerable women and enhancing their livelihoods.

 

In another development,the Wife of Bauchi Speaker also paid a courtsey visits to the Emir of Ningi, Alhaji Haruna Yunusa Ɗanyaya; the Emir of Warji, Alhaji Ibrahim Sama’ila; the Emir of Ari, Alhaji Muhammad Kilishi Musa; and the Emir of Burra, Alhaji Ya’u Shehu Abubakar.

 

She noted that traditional rulers, as custodians of culture and key stakeholders in peace and sustainable development, remained critical partners in fostering unity and stability across communities.

In their separate remarks, the traditional rulers commended the Speaker’s wife for the visits.

The leaders urged residents to continue to conduct their activities peacefully while respecting the state’s traditional institutions.

Some of the beneficiaries described the gesture as a sustained effort to support vulnerable women through direct community intervention and empowerment.

 

The wife of the speaker was accompanied by the Bauchi State Women Leader of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), wife of the Ningi Local Government Chairman, and leaders and members of various women groups from Ningi and Warji Local Government Areas.
