The Rector, Federal Polytechnic, Kaltungo, in Gombe State, Dr. Ibrahim Babale Gashua, has been commended for maintaining cordial relationship with the workers Unions of the Polytechnic.
The commendation was made by the newly appointed Chairman of the Governing Council of the Polytechnic, Dr. Yusuf Muhammad, while holding interractive meeting with the leadership of the workers Unions of the institution which comprised ASUP, SSNIP, NASU and NOTSUP.
The Chairman had also conducted facilities inspection visit at both the permanent and take-off sites of the polytechnic and he was delighted with the level of quality of projects being executed by the management of the institution.
He therefore commended the Rector for his visionary leadership qualities.
Facilities visited by the chairman include tourism department, library complex and students’ hostels.
The Chairman was accompanied to the inspection visit by the Rector, Dr. Ibrahim Babale Gashua, Deputy Rector, Dr. Eldah E. Buba, Director, Works and Physical Planning, Engr. Ebenezer Tiklak and other management team of the institution.
The Governing Council’s meeting was held on 16th June, 2026 with the new Chairman in attendance.
