Niger Tertiary Education Commissioner Vows to Revive Bida Teachers College

The Niger State Commissioner of Tertiary Education, Adamu Abdullahi Sheshi,  has pledged to restore the prestigious reputation of Bida Teachers College.

He noted  that during a courtesy visit from members of the Old Boys Association of Bida Teachers College,  congratulated him on his appointment as commissioner by the State Governor,  Mohammed Umaru Bago.

Hon. Sheshi emphasized the importance of using his position to persuade the governor to support infrastructure development at the school, with the goal of helping it regain its former status.

He also assured that, with God’s grace, he will attend the upcoming general meeting of the College, scheduled for March 28, 2026.

Earlier,  leader of the delegation and President of Bida Teachers College Old Boys Association, Dr. Umar Danladi Abdulhameed,  Tambarin Kagara  stated that their visit is to congratulate Hon. Sheshi on his appointment.

He added that Hon. Sheshi’s appointment aligns well with his extensive experience and knowledge in the education sector and expressed confidence that the Hon. Commissioner for Tertiary Education,  will contribute to the New Niger Agenda of Governor Umaru Bago.

Kagara, concluded by assuring ongoing prayers for Hon. Sheshi’s success in his leadership tasks.
