Commander Corps of Artillery Conducts Operational Visit to Operation HADIN KAI

Major General John O Adeyemo, Commander Corps of Artillery (CCA), concluded a 3-day operational visit to Joint Task Force North East – Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) on Friday.
The visit, which began on December 24, 2025, aimed to assess and enhance military efforts to contain insurgency in North East Nigeria, in line with the Chief of Army Staff’s (COAS) Command Philosophy.
During his visit, the CCA evaluated Artillery resources and interfaced with key operational actors to enhance OPHK’s targeting system for improved efficiency and effectiveness.
On December 25, 2025, he visited 37 Brigade, assessing NACA resources for sustained combat support in OPHK.
Brigadier General Charles M Zebere, Commander, 37 Artillery Brigade, briefed the CCA on the significance of Fire Support Coordinating Cell Work Station (FSCCWS) in operational planning and coordination.
The CCA commissioned the remodeled FSCCWS at Headquarters, 37 Artillery Brigade, and the renovated Headquarters of 333 Artillery Regiment.
Addressing NACA personnel, Major General Adeyemo conveyed COAS’ Christmas greetings, appreciating Gunners’ efforts in fighting insurgency.
He rated their contribution to positive peace in North East Nigeria as “highly commendable” and motivated them to heighten the momentum.
The CCA assured troops of COAS’ resolve to mitigate operational challenges, enhancing NACA’s capability and effectiveness in supporting Nigerian Army operations.
Key highlights of the visit included operational briefings, project commissionings, and addresses to NACA officers and soldiers.
The CCA’s visit aimed to boost troops’ morale during the Yuletide season, demonstrating his commitment to actualizing the COAS’ Command Philosophy.
