A Tinubu loyalist, Khamis Musa Darazo, has strongly criticized ongoing political plots aimed at unseating President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, describing such moves as self-serving and harmful to Nigeria’s democratic stability.

Speaking to Journalists on. Friday in Bauchi on recent political developments, Khamis Darazo said that attempts to gang up against the President for personal or sectional interests amount to a political crime against the Nigerian people, who freely gave Tinubu a constitutional mandate through the ballot.

According to him, opposition rooted in personal ambition rather than national interest undermines democracy and disrespects the will of the masses.

“Plotting against President Tinubu for selfish interests is a political crime that the masses will not forgive. Democracy allows for constructive criticism, but it does not permit conspiracies designed to hijack the people’s mandate,” Khamis Darazo stated.

He stressed that President Tinubu should be allowed the political space to implement reforms aimed at stabilizing the economy, strengthening institutions, and improving national cohesion. Darazo noted that premature power struggles distract from governance and weaken public confidence in the democratic process.

Khamis Musa Darazo further called on political leaders to embrace issue-based engagement and support initiatives that promote national development rather than fueling divisions for personal gain.

According to him, “The Nigerian people are watching closely,” he added. “History will judge those who place personal ambition above the collective interest of the nation.”
