Gubernatorial aspirants of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), in Bauchi State for the 2027 general elections, have been reminded that, it is only unity of purpose that can make the party emerge victorious in the election.
The assertion was made by the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof Mohammed Ali Pate, in a viral video in which he was urging the aspirants to accept results of the party primaries in good faith.
The Minister who recently announced his withdrawal from the race, reminded the aspirants that only one of them would emerge victorious in the party’s primary elections and become the candidate.
He therefore enjoined them to support whoever among them emerged the guber flag bearer for the 2027 general elections while ensuring that APC sweep the polls in all elective positions across the state.
Ali Pate also tasked other aspirants to the various elective offices under the APC to ensure a rancour-free primary elections, which outcome will enable the party carry the show at electoral level.
He stressed that power belongs to God Who gives it whoever He likes, and take it away from whomever He wants, and urged each and every aspirant to concede defeat in the primaries if it so happened.
The Minister stated, the ultimate objective or goal of any member or supporter of the APC is for the party to emerge victorious in any point in time.
According to him, “No any person can bestow leadership or power to any individual no matter his position in the society, for such bestowment belongs only the Almighty Allah,”
He called on all citizens of Bauchi state to put all hands on deck in ensuring the socio-economic, political and infrastructural development of the state.
The Minister in the video clip message dispatched to all APC family in Bauchi and entire citizens of the State assured of working closely and supporting any candidate who emerged from the primaries to his/victory in the 2027 elections.
He also called on all APC members and supporters as well as electorates alike to ensure that all APC candidates including President Bola Ahmed Tinubu sail through the rigours of elections to victory in the 2027 polls.
The Minister similarly appealed to youths whom he described as vanguard of democracy, especially the party vanguard to ensure rancour-free forthcoming primary elections.
“Let’s all put our hands on deck to ensure that only credible candidates emerge from the primary elections, as well as subsequent victory in all the elective positions comes 2027 general elections”, Minister Pate concluded.
