Governor Bala Mohammed assures FRSC of support for safer, crash free roads

Bauchi State Governor, Sen. Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has pledged that Government will continue to support the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in its efforts to reduce road crashes and promote safer highways across the State.

The assurance was given by the Governor on Friday while receiving the newly deployed 29th Sector Commander of the FRSC in Bauchi State, Corps Commander C.S. Luka, during a courtesy visit at the Government House.

Bala Mohammed congratulated the new Sector Commander on his appointment and welcomed him to Bauchi.

According to him, “Road safety is a shared responsibility. My administration will continue to invest in road infrastructure and work with agencies like FRSC to ensure our roads remain safe for residents and commuters.”

He urged motorists to obey traffic rules and support the FRSC in its mandate to save lives on Bauchi roads.

Speaking earlier, Corps Commander CS Luka, who led a delegation of Senior Officers, said the visit was in line with FRSC tradition to formally introduce himself to the state government after his recent deployment.

He commended Bauchi State i for its peaceful atmosphere and for the massive investment in road infrastructure under the present administration.

According to him, the good road network and security in the state have made the work of the Corps easier and more effective.

“We appreciate the developmental strides of this administration. The quality roads and secure environment have contributed greatly to safer and more efficient transportation in Bauchi,” CS Luka said.

He further reaffirmed the Corps’ commitment to strengthening collaboration with the state government to deepen road safety advocacy, enforce traffic regulations, and protect lives and property.
