The Niger State Police Command has arrested Four Suspects for theft of Motorcycles in Minna,the State Capital.
This is contained in a statement issued by the Spokesman of the State Police Command,SP Wasiu Abiodun in a statement made available to Journalists on Friday in Minna
A cording to the statement, On 11th June, 2026 at about 7.30pm, a report was received at Tudun-Wada Div that a victim parked his motorcycle in front of his house within Tunga area of Minna, and two persons attempted to move the motorcycle away, adding that the the victim sighted them and he raised alarm which attracted neighbours and vigilante men in the area.
Consequently, the statement added that the two suspects were arrested and identified as: Suleiman Mohammed of Kateren-gwari, Minna Umar Sabo of Kontangora, stressing that the suspects were taken into custody in Tudun-Wada Div and they were said to have confessed to have attempted to steal the motorcycle.
Similarly on 15th June, 2026 at about 2pm, Police operatives of Tudun-Wada Div arrested one Kasimu Adamu 28yrs with a suspected stolen Bajaj motorcycle along General hospital road Minna, and during preliminary investigation it was discovered that the motorcycle was snatched from a victim on 14th June 2026 along building material market road.
Further investigation led to the arrest of another suspect on 16th June 2026 in Angwan-Biri, Bosso who is also a member of motorcycle snatching syndicate, named Mansir Salisu 30yrs.
SP Abiodun noted that “During a search of his house, one Bajaj motorcycle was also recovered which he allegedly confessed was snatched from a victim, saying that all suspects are under further investigation.
