A Chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), in Bauchi State, Dr. Hassan Haleem Abdullahi, has reiterated that Bauchi State needs a fresh, young and energetic Governor in 2027 to correct issues of workers salary and other essential needs of the people, especially the common man.
He made the assertion during an interview session with Journalists in Bauchi as part of his Sallah message to the entire people of the State.
The Traditional titleholder of 1st Mai Borno of Dass, advised Nigerians to wake up and vote for credible candidates in the 2027 general elections, who will muster the political will to address myriad of challenges affecting the common man, especially the insecurity that has bedevelled the country, which is so rampant in the Northern part of the county.
He noted that, it is time for the youths to come together and assume the mantle of leadership and stear the affairs of the State, assuring that come 2027, Bauchi would reject temptation of the political class and inducement with money and other materials.
Mai Borno of Dass added that, social analysis showed that, there is a population growth, and the government cannot provide solution associated with the problems of water scarcity even within the Bauchi metropolitan city, not to talk of suburb areas.
He alleged that all those that are talking about ambition to be the next Governor of Bauchi State, are engaging in just mere rhetoric, as they have nothing to show as far as planning to lead is concerned and to change the narratives in Bauchi.
Furthermore, he tasked Bauchi Youths to understand who can lead them well and has good plans for the state, and should be self reliant as well, in order not to wait for assistance from anyone.
He stressed, that would prevent them from involving in any form of political thuggry, or to be used as political tools for election do or die affairs, and distance themselves from molesting the opposition members or electorates during the electioneering process.
Hassan Abdullahi continue that, the man who is going to be the next Governor is supposed to be a businessman so that he will not solely rely on the allocation from the federation account to pay salary, because he already has experience in commerce and monetary aspects
So also, he narrated that, “All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state cannot go for only one tenure arrangement as far as Governor’s office is concern come 2027”.
He noted that, “among all the governorship hopefuls in the state, non of them can match the young and vibrant Bauchi business mogul and a grassroot politician across the state. And the man already has a blueprint that can succeed even in the forthcoming primary elections of political parties”.
“A popular youthful candidate would soon emerge and he would win the governorship ticket either on direct primary election or through consensus arrangements”. He emphasized.
