Bauchi State chapter of the Labour Party (LP), under the leadership of the substantive State Chairman, Hon. Auwalu Tukur, has congratulated Senator Nenadi Usman PhD* on her well-deserved victory at the Supreme Court and her emergence as the substantive National Chairperson of the Labour Party.
According to the LP in a statement issued on Friday, “This historic judgment is not only a personal achievement for Senator Nenadi Usman, but also a strong affirmation of justice, due process, and the collective will of committed party members across the country.”
It added that, “We equally congratulate the Labour Party on the successful conduct of its National Convention held in Abia State. Since the formation of the party, there has never been a convention as peaceful, organized, and successful as the recently concluded one.”
“Special appreciation goes to the Executive Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti, regarded as one of the best-performing governors in Nigeria, for his remarkable leadership and support throughout the convention,” It added.
The LP further stated that, “The successful event clearly reflected the party’s dedication to internal democracy, unity, and sustainable growth.”
It stressed that, “With great humility and a strong sense of responsibility, we sincerely appreciate all members of the Labour Party in Bauchi State for their unwavering support during the ward, local government, and State Congresses that produced our State Chairman, Hon. Auwalu Tukur, Rev. Joshua Sunday as State Secretary, and the entire executive members of the Labour Party, Bauchi State Chapter.”
According to the party, “We remain resolute in our commitment to strengthening the party’s structures and promoting our shared vision for a better and more prosperous Nigeria.”
It stressed, “At this important stage, we appeal to the Abure-led leadership and all aggrieved members to embrace peace and work together with *Senator Nenadi Usman PhD* in the spirit of unity, reconciliation, and progress. We also extend this appeal to the former leadership in Bauchi State led by Comrade Sabitu encouraging all stakeholders to unite for the overall interest and advancement of the party.”
According to the party, “The responsibility ahead requires unity, dedication, and collective effort as we continue working toward repositioning the Labour Party for greater achievements, particularly ahead of the 2027 general elections.”
It further contained, “The Labour Party remains a credible, dependable, and people-oriented platform, open to all progressive Nigerians and opposition figures who may feel dissatisfied with the excesses of the ruling APC government.”
It stated that, “Our democracy must be safeguarded against every form of manipulation, including the abuse of judicial processes, and we remain steadfast in our determination to provide Nigerians with a transparent, accountable, and people-focused alternative. Together, we can build a stronger Labour Party and a greater Nigeria,” As contained in a statement jointly signed by Hon. Auwalu Tukur, Chairman, and Rev Joshua Sunday, Secretary.
