2027: Governor Umaru Bago  Secures APC Ticket for Second Term Through Affirmation

The Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago has secured the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial ticket for a second term through affirmation.
The affirmation was held at the State Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) State Secretariat,  Sarumai Quarters,   Minna, Niger state capital
The governor emerged unopposed after APC card-carrying members from all 277 wards across the state unanimously endorsed him as their sole candidate for the 2027 Governorship election in Niger state
Chairman of the APC Primary Election Committee, Alhaji Danladi Abubakar Mohammed said the committee was sent by the APC National Headquarters in Abuja,  to conduct the governorship primary in Niger state.
A motion was moved for the adoption of
Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago as the consensus and sole candidate for the APC Governorship election come 2027 having reached the required party’s  Constitution by Senator Mohammed Sani Musa(313)and  seconded by House of Assembly member representing Gurara, Afiniki Dauda for affirmation.
Meanwhile, the party also through the Chairman of the APC Primary Election Committee, Alhaji Danladi Abubakar Mohammed affirmed the 27 state assembly representative candidates for the 25 councils of Niger state although four councils emerged through direct primary while 23 was through consensus.
In his remarks, the Niger state APC chairman, Alhaji Aminu Musa Bobi appreciates the party members for the unity, support, understanding, patience in ensuring the a peaceful conduct and success of the primaries in the state.
In his acceptance speech, Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago thanked Nigerlites for their opportunity to serve and assured citizens of his commitment to deliver more dividend of democracy to the residents of the state.
According to him, the affirmation says a lot and shows the bond between him and the people and shows of love for the party which will not be taken for granted.
