National Leadership of the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) has declared that Chief Bob-Manuel Okonmah, has never been a member of the party and is not currently, as been erroneously circulated.
Chief Bob-Mmanuel Okonmah, is an aspirant of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) for the Anambra East and West Federal Constituency, in the 2027 general elections.
The clarification was made by ZLP which categorically denied that he is registered as a member of both ZLP and APGA simultaneously.
According to the National Publicity Secretary of ZLP, Khalid Arewa, in a statement he issued on Wednesday, “We were not Aware of any registration. The Zenith Labour Party did not authorize, approve, or have prior knowledge of any membership registration for Chief Bob-Mmanuel Okonmah in Anambra State or at the national level.”
He also stated that, “Upon the matter coming to our notice, we promptly investigated and removed the entry from our digital register. For the record, Chief Bob-Mmanuel Okonmah is not a registered member of the Zenith Labour Party.”
“We believe this development is a mischievous act of political propaganda designed to create confusion, distract the public, and damage the integrity of both the ZLP and the aspirant,” he added.
Khalid Arewa further stated that, “The timing and manner of these allegations suggest a deliberate attempt to deny the individual access to the APGA ticket by dragging ZLP into an internal matter that does not concern us.”
He stressed that, “The Zenith Labour Party upholds due process, transparency, and the rule of law in all party matters. We urge members of the public, the media, and relevant authorities to disregard the claims linking ZLP to any act of dual registration or misconduct.”
According to him,”We remain focused on building a credible alternative platform for Nigerians and will not be drawn into the internal disputes of other political parties.”
