The Vice Chancellor, Karl Kumm University,Vom Nigeria Prof Nanven Audu Gambo has urged newly matriculated students to strictly uphold the core values of the institution which includes academic excellence, integrity, respect and a good sense of responsibility.
Speaking during the 3rd matriculation ceremony of the institution held at its premises, Prof Gambo explained that the University has a zero-tolerance for academic dishonesty, examination misconduct, cultism, substance abuse, sexual harassment and all other forms of misconduct.
He further disclosed that the University has a policy of conducting drug tests for students returning to campus from home and cautioned them to eschew anything that will compromise their integrity whether at home or on the campus.
Reflecting on the University’s growth, the Vice-Chancellor attributed the steady progress of the University over the past years to visionary leadership and the collective commitment of the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN).
Earlier, the Registrar of the University, Benjamin Dachomo appealed to the students to prepare and read hard to justify the huge investments by their parents.
Dachomo further appealed to the students to abide by the Students Code of Conduct to help them achieve educational excellence.
In his remarks, Rev. Dr. Datsu Richard Kungle who spoke on behalf of the parents of the matriculated students commended the institution for its strategic engagements to providing sustainable global standard education, as reported by the Protocol and Information Unit, Karl Kumm University.
