The Niger State Pilgrims’ Welfare Board has accelerated its data capturing exercise for intending pilgrims of the 2026 Hajj in a bid to meet the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) deadline of February 8, 2026.
In a statement issued by the Executive Secretary of the Board, Sheikh Muhammad Awwal Aliyu, that the Board’s ICT unit has been working “day and night” to ensure that every intending pilgrim who has completed their payment is duly captured within the stipulated period.
Sheikh Muhammad Awwal Aliyu explained that the accelerated data capturing exercise is part of the Board’s commitment to fulfilling NAHCON’s directives for timely documentation and coordination of all intending pilgrims.
He commended the dedication and commitment of the ICT, the account development, the passport unit and Operations departments, stressing that their relentless efforts will help the Board achieve a smooth and successful 2026 Hajj operation.
The Executive Secretary further appealed to all intending pilgrims who are yet to submit their E-passport to do so immediately to avoid missing out on the exercise.
He reaffirmed the Board’s determination to ensure a transparent, efficient, and well-organized 2026 Hajj.
