Niger CAN Congratulates  Muslim Ummah On Completion Of  Ramadan, celebrate Eid – El- Fitr Festival, Sues For  Sustained  Unity, Peace

The Chairman of  the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Niger State chapter, who doubles as the Bishop,Catholic Diocese of Kontagora Most Rev Dr. Bulus Dauwa Yohanna has on behalf of the two religious bodies congratulates  the Muslim Ummah across the State especially the State Governor, Rt. Hon. Mohammed Umaru Bago as they mark the successful completion of this year’s Ramadan fast and the Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
The Cleric stated this in a Press statement he personally signed and made available to Journalists on Wednesday in Minna.
He stated, “While we congratulate you, we sue for sustained unity and peace that have existed across the state just as enshrined in the teachings of the Holy Quran and Hadith that is centred on peace, love, discipline, and humility”.
According to him,  “the Eid-el-Fitr, signals the end of the holy month of Ramadan, we call on you all to prioritise peaceful co-existence with people of other religions so that together we can all live in peace and harmony.”
He also stressed that “We pray the Almighty God to grant the Governor and other leaders the grace to continue to serve humanity selflessly”.
He however called on Nigerlites to use the end of the Ramadan and Lenten season which is still on to pray for the country’s continued peace, unity, and prosperity, praying that God bless and congratulations once again.
