Niger State Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago extends his congratulations to his Ekiti counterpart, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, on his re-election victory at last Saturday’s governorship election.
In a congratulatory message by his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, the Governor describes the victory of Governor Oyebanji as a landslide.
He says the victory is also a reflection of the level of acceptance and confidence the people of the state have in the present administration.
The Governor urges his colleague to see the renewed mandate given to him as a rare opportunity to serve better, especially as he has become the first sitting Govenror to be re-elected uninterruptedly in the history of Ekiti State.
He also enjoins Governor Oyebanji to be magnanimous in victory and operate an open as well as inclusive government to consolidate his achievements for the betterment of the people.
The Governor, who served as the Chairman of the Youth mobilisation Subcommittee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Campaign Council for the last Saturday governorship election, commends the turnout of youths in the election and their peaceful conduct.
He appeals to his colleague to initiate more programmes that would empower and develop youths of Ekiti to make them self-reliant even as he reaffirms his support.
